Description

How the procedure works

Speech (logopedic) massage at Yuncheng People's Hospital is a method for correcting speech disorders that combines traditional Chinese medicine with advanced speech-therapy techniques. It is based on targeted stimulation of the articulation muscles and biologically active points.

The method combines professional massage of the articulation apparatus (tongue, soft palate, lips, cheeks, chewing muscles), innovative techniques — point massage based on Chinese medicine methods, probe massage, and finger massage — along with additional speech-correction methods: breathing exercises, articulation exercises, and phonetic rhythm training.

What parents should know

The course is structured in stages — from diagnosis and preparation (releasing spasticity, stimulating weakened muscles) to main treatment and consolidation of results with the development of spontaneous speech. The method can be used for patients of any age, combined with other rehabilitation methods.

1

Diagnostic stage

A thorough examination of the articulation apparatus, determining the type and severity of speech disorders, and developing a personal treatment plan.

2

Preparatory stage

Working with muscle tone, relaxation techniques for spasticity, and stimulating weakened muscles.

3

Main treatment stage

Applying special massage techniques (massage of the tongue, soft palate, lips and cheeks, point and probe massage), performing articulation gymnastics and phonetic exercises.

4

Consolidating results

Reinforcing acquired skills, developing spontaneous speech, and monitoring the results achieved.
