Sensory Integration Therapy (SIT)
Comprehensive sensory stimulation and special movement exercises in equipped sensory rooms — swings, tactile materials, light and sound equipment.
How the procedure works
Sensory integration is a therapy method that helps children correctly perceive and process information from their senses. At Yuncheng People's Hospital, sessions combine traditional Eastern practices with modern neuropsychological approaches and take place in specially equipped sensory rooms.
Work is organized around three areas: comprehensive sensory stimulation (tactile perception, body position sense, vestibular system, visual and auditory perception), special movement exercises (balance, swinging, rotational movement, crawling, climbing), and integration activities (rhythmic activities, organized play).
What parents should know
The method is especially effective for autism, CP, and developmental delays — it helps improve movement coordination, body awareness, and attention span. The program is built individually, with gradually increasing exercise complexity and motivation through engaging tasks.
Assessment
Building the child's sensory profile, identifying problem areas, and developing an individual program.
Main therapy course
Working with the sensory systems, developing motor skills, integrating different types of perception, and forming correct responses.
Consolidating results
Reinforcing the skills gained, applying them in daily life, and adapting socially.
